Murphy

Murphy & Aubrey (and Family)

Picture
Murphy came to our rescue in July 2019. He was a tiny emaciated little boy. Murphy didn't have to wait long before he hit the family jackpot! About a year ago Aubrey and her family decided they were finally ready for another dog, after losing their boxer in 2016. She and her husband decided that they wanted to rescue. In April 2019 they started their search and spent months looking for a dog that was the right fit. They kept coming up empty. They ne...eded the right dog as he would be joining a house with 4 little girls. By July they still didn't find the right fit. Just as Aubrey was about to give up searching her sister tagged her in a Facebook post of this beautiful French Bulldog. As soon as she saw him she knew he belonged with her family. At the time she didn’t know much about the dog meat trade and the horrors that these dogs experience. Aubrey got in contact with Eva who answered every question she had about him and what it would take to bring him home to her family. She had originally found Murphy in early August but he wasn’t able to fly until fall because he is a short nosed breed and they can’t fly in the heat of summer. Finally, it was fall, time to pick up the new addition. When the time came to pick him up Aubrey was really nervous. Aubrey, her husband and one of her daughters made the 2 hour drive from PA to JFK airport in NY. She tells us the minute Murphy came out of his crate she knew he was home. He too knew that they were his people. Aubrey says he is an absolute dream of a dog, healthy and happy....everything they could have hoped for. Murphy is funny and playful, yet loves to just hang on the couch and snuggle up to whoever is available. He will sleep with you, under the covers, (snoring loudly) for as long as you stay there. He loves to be in the yard with the kids, loves walks and car rides and is always so calm and well behaved. Everyone who meets him falls in love with his personality. He’s a total love bug. He’s inspired at least two more people she knows to rescue from China and countless others who have put Saving Harbin Dogs on their radar. Aubrey and her family know for sure they will eventually add another pup to their family in the future.
